OUR MISSION

JOP Arts is a Midlands based producing company supporting Midlands artists in their work. Founded by Nottingham-based producer Jake Orr.

JOP Arts’ mission is to:
– Elevate Midlands based artists
– Give priority to marginalised voices.
– Be bold. Be brave. Be brilliantly queer.
– Place community and place within all the art we undertake.
– Always be transparent, always to be kind and always to have fun whilst making great art happen.

JOP Arts create work through:

PRODUCING

  • Award-winning shows, R&Ds, tours and more across the UK.
  • Offering producer support on the development of theatre and arts based projects with a focus on Midlands grown work.
  • Consider what an artist may need to have their work produced and elevated.

PROGRAMMING

  • Supporting venues and festivals in the programming of their artistic programmes.
  • Consider how artistic programmes can impact business models, audience development and artistic elevation.

AUDIENCE

  • Placing audience and community at the heart of all the work we do.
  • Consider how audience can be framed not as a desired target demographic, but as participants and creators.

CONSULTANCY

  • Working with arts organisations, artists and companies to focus their strategies to produce effectively.
  • Provide frameworks for producing, creating strategies that enhance business models and leverage the best results for arts producing
  • Consider transparency in consultancy, ensuring that there is a honest dialogue through the work we report back on.

FUNDRAISING

  • Bid writing for Arts Council England, National Lottery Community Fund amongst other Trust and Foundations.
  • Providing strategies for fundraising.
